As an Australian, I can see many unhealthy people every single day. Our lifestyle revolves around work, fast food and minimal exercise. Our poor choices have lead to an increasing obesity problem nationwide. Now obesity is evident in many parts of the world, but Australia is in the top 5 “fattest” countries in the world. To me, that is worrying.
I’m sick of hearing people (particularly females) say, “oh I’m so fat, I feel ugly, why can’t I be skinny like them? Why don’t guys like fat girls, why aren’t I good enough, etc etc etc”.
Now I’m just the same as everyone else, I get self conscious just like everyone else. But I don’t sit around feeling sorry for myself. I get up off my ass and work out, run, exercise, play several sports, lift weights, and I ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! !!
I’m sick of people saying all of these negative things about themselves, especially when they don’t even try to help themselves.
I mean, surely the motivation to change yourself is enough to get you off your ass and out for a walk or a run.
I just don’t understand how people choose these miserable lifestyles when you don’t need much at all to become a healthier version of yourself. Sometimes it’s as simple as going for a walk, or choosing a bottle of water over a bottle of soft drink.
There’s a common misconception that being healthy is hard work. That’s a lie.
There is no excuse.
I don’t understand why people would consciously choose a lifestyle that is miserable, unmotivational, unhealthy, depressing and just plain wrong.
If you aren’t happy, then do something about it. Get off your lazy ass and change yourself, because you’re the only one who can.
Rant over. Fuck.
